Ajit Agarkar to hold MEETING with Virat Kohli as his return not yet confirmed for England Tests after AB de Villiers disclosed reason behind absence

Virat Kohli pulled out of the first two Tests against England citing personal reasons, but not many knew what it was. But his close friend, AB de Villiers revealed he was expecting his 2nd child.
With the star’s return not yet confirmed, an unknown BCCI source has revealed to PTI that Ajit Agarkar will hold a meeting with Kohli. Kohli pulled out of the first two matches, but his return has not been confirmed yet. According to some reports, he isn’t in the country as well, spending time with family.

With India’s middle order woes becoming more and more evident, the team needs Kohli back. KL Rahul is set to return to the team after a quadriceps injury during the first Test, while Ravindra Jadeja’s return to the team is not yet confirmed.
Record Virat Kohli could break if he returns to play
Virat Kohli has the opportunity to find himself in the record books once again if he plays in the ongoing Test series against England. Currently with 8848 runs, he needs just 152 runs to reach the 9000 Test runs score.

Along with that, he is nine boundaries away from 1000 boundaries in Test cricket. Currently with 3970 runs against England, he just needs 30 to reach 4000 aginst them in all formats. He is also only 9 runs away from scoring 2000 Test runs against England.
Kohli last played a Test match against South Africa, where he scored 46 and 12. He then played in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. He sat out the first game due to personal reasons. As of now his availability in the series is not yet confirmed, with the squads for the last three games yet to come out.
