Andre Russell, Kolkata Knight Riders’ star all-rounder is known for his ferocious hitting with bat as well as with the ball. On Monday, 25 April, something happened during Kolkata’s net session.

KKR shared a video in which Andre Russell was seen batting in the nets. He was just practicing his natural shots but he went on to smash a chair which was present on the ground. A big hole created in the chair when Andre Russell hit the ball.

Andre Russell is KKR’s 2nd highest run scoring batsman

The West Indies all-rounder is the second highest run-scorer from Shreyas Iyer-KKR. He has amassed 227 runs at a staggering strike-rate of above 180 from 8 outings. KKR was the runners-up in 2021 IPL, got defeated to Chennai Super Kings.

However, this season has been a great on for them as they are currently placed seventh on the ten-team scoreboard. They have managed just three wins form the 8 losses. They have also lost all of their last four matches in IPL 2022.

The two-time champions’ state is similar to that of 2021, but they have come out grabbing the second place. In their next match, they will lock-horns with Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals on Thursday, April 28 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

In KKR’s previous match, he grabbed four wickets in the last over. At the post-match presentation, he said:

“Similar to the game against Mumbai in Chennai last year, where I bowled two crucial overs at the end. Wasn’t looking for wickets in the last over, was just trying to keep them under 160.”

“It’s massive (the boundary on one side), but the heat of the moment makes the batters to try to clear it. I hope I don’t have to bat today, hope the guys above me finish the job and we get the two points. The track is gripping a bit, especially the slower ones.”
