Anjali Tendulkar reflects on her journey with Sachin Tendulkar on his 50th birthday

Today, on April 24th, the man who has given gold memories and made many fall in love with cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, turned 50. Wishes have already started pouring from all over India and at the same time, he received a special gift from his wife, Anjali Tendulkar.
In a book Sachin@50 written by journalist Boria Majumdar for Sachin’s 50th birthday to pay tribute to the batting maestro, Anjali reflected upon her relationship with the Master Blaster. After meeting for the first time at Mumbai airport, the two found themselves at a mutual friend’s place and soon they fell in love and got married in May 1995.
“We come from very different cultural backgrounds. Yet, we have been brought up with the same value systems. Both of us believe in according to every person’s dignity and respect,” Anjali wrote in the book while pondering over Sachin’s humble personality despite the craze for him from all over the world.
“What is praiseworthy about Sachin is that despite all the fame and adulation, he still treats everyone equally. Irrespective of someone’s position in society, he treats everyone the same,” Anjali added.

Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his birthday in Goa
In that book, Anjali mentioned that the Tendulkar family will celebrate his birthday in Goa with close friends and family.
“Many people have asked me what I have planned for Sachin’s 50th birthday. We have been very private people- so this birthday will be no different. It’ll be something with very close friends and family,” she wrote.
The family has already arrived in Goa as a video has gone viral where Sachin along with his wife and daughter Sara Tendulkar can be seen arriving at the Goa airport.
Sachin made his debut for India in November 1989 and went on to play for the country for a glorious 24 years. And during that time, as known by billions, Sachin would create almost every batting record are there in the game.
