Prithvi Shaw is someone who has talent, but he doesn’t get opportunities to represent India. Some reports say it’s his fitness issues due to which the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ignores him. Shaw is in England currently, taking part in the One Day Cup. And on his debut match for the Northamptonshire, the 23-year-old played a stormy innings of 244 runs from 153 balls against Somerset at The County Ground on Wednesday (August 9).
Pictures of Shaw celebrating his double century by raising his bat have gone viral on social media platforms. The pictures have grabbed the attention of the fans for all the wrong reasons- his fitness.
This led to some fans taking a dig at the youngster, advising him to improve his fitness because he is an athlete. Popular influencer and entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo was one of them who took a cheeky dig at Shaw by replying to another fan’s post.
“Bet his mom thinks “patla ho gaya hain” :)) (Bet his mom thinks he has become thin),” wrote Warikoo on Twitter. Now his comments did not go well with some fans pointing out that the youngster lost his mother when he was four years old. Other fans slammed him for body-shaming Shaw.
