“Are bas kar yaar”- Rohit Sharma stops Tilak Varma midway through live interview

Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) registered their first win of IPL 2023 as the five-time champions beat Delhi Capitals (DC) in a thrilling encounter. MI won the match by six wickets as Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Jason Behrendorff, and Piyush Chawla starred for the Indians. While Sharma scored a well-paced half-century (65 off 45), Tilak played a blistering knock (41 off 29). Behrendorff and Chawla, meanwhile, bagged three wickets each.
As MI opened their account at IPL 2023, Rohit Sharma looked in a great and jovial mood. The MI captain was also featured in a post-game interview with Tilak Varma for the tournament’s website. In fact, Rohit turned interviewer as he asked Varma about his inning and plenty of other things.
The Mumbai Indians captain started the interview by asking Tilak how the batter felt after this win. Varma, in reply, started talking about his partnership with Rohit and it was a dream come true for the Hyderabad cricketer. “It’s a great feeling bhaiya,” stated Tilak. “I was waiting from last year to bat with you and today I got a chance. I tried to make the most of the opportunity. I had been dreaming for this day since my childhood,” the batter added.
It was then Rohit jumped in and stopped Tilak midway. “Are bas kar yaar,” said Rohit while patting Varma on the shoulders.
Rohit turns Hyderabadi with Tilak
Rohit looked in a great mood and could not stop himself from expressing his love for Hyderabadi slang. The MI captain started the interview with Tilak in a Hyderabadi accent and then also tried a few slang.
He then finished the interview in the same style saying, “Bahut majja aaya tumse baat kar ke miyan.”
