Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Shivam Dube has earned his call to represent India again after a series of batting exploits in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Deodhar Trophy. The CSK all-rounder gives the whole credit to Yellow Jersey captain MS Dhoni for upgrading him.

Dube is a part of the squad that will go to China for the Asian Games in September and he is also added to the upcoming series against Ireland. The Ireland T20Is will start from upcoming Monday this month.

The Mumbai all-rounder scored 418 runs in the 16 matches he played at a strike rate of 158.33 for CSK. In one match of the Deodhar Trophy, Dube, who plays for West Zone, scored 83 runs from 78 balls to help his side win against North Zone.

I cannot express all the things (that Dhoni helped me with),” Dube said in a video uploaded by the website of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “I have upgraded my game. I got to know how to finish the game, how to be in the situation, how to tackle the bowlers, that all things are more important.” He further said how the former India skipper also instilled confidence in him by telling him how he can win matches from his batting.

Dhoni is a bike and car lover and on various occasions, he is seen showing off his collection when he drives them in Ranchi. Days after flaunting his vintage Rolls Royce in his hometown, he is again spotted driving another old car.

He is using his free time to do things he loves to do after the conclusion of the IPL- where he led CSK to their fifth trophy- and after he underwent knee surgery. A Dhoni fan recorded the video of the CSK skipper driving a red Pontiac Trans-Am 1973 car.
