During the tensed Super 4 match between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where the latter won it by one wicket, a lot of ugly scenes were witnessed at the Sharjah stadium on Wednesday, September 7.

Ali became furious and tried to punch Fareed and also threatened to hit him with his bat. The Afghan and Pakistan players and umpires separated the two from having a physical alteration.

Afghanistan player Gulbadin Naib took to twitter and slammed the behaviour of Asif Ali, defending Ahmed that a bowler has the right to celebrate and that Ali shouldn’t behave the way he did with those fighting gesture.

“This is stupidity at extreme level by Asif Ali and should be ban from the rest of the tournament, any bowler has the right to celebrate but being physical is not acceptable at all @icc @ACCMedia1,” Naib wrote on Twitter.
