Although he had a friendly chat with Shreyas Iyer, tempers had flared between Shamsi and Ishan Kishan when the latter smacked a flat six off the spinner in the 3rd T20I in Vishakhapatnam. After the six, the next ball was a full toss which Ishan hit to the fielder. Camera showed Shamsi muttering something to Ishan.

As expected, Ishan answered him back and while the audio was not clear, Ishan could be seen having a furious war of words with Shamsi. From then onwards, Ishan let his bat do the talking. He reached a half-century off 31 balls. He even smacked the spinner for 4,6 and 4, when he dealt with him next time and completed his 2nd T20I fifty of his career and the series. The series ended in a draw with the fifth T20I and the decider one got abandoned due to rain.

India is set to play the rescheduled fifth Test against England from July 1 at Edgbaston. India is leading the series by 2-1. After the Test, three T20Is and three ODIs will be played till July 17.
