Ayushmann Khurrana has established himself as one of the most versatile actors in the film industry, and now he is all set to show the fans his cricketing skills on the big screen. Once, he expressed his desire to star in a film based on cricket and his dream will get fulfilled as he is slated to play the role of Sourav Ganguly in the upcoming biopic on the former Indian captain.
Peeping Moon exclusively reported that producers of the upcoming project, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, signed ‘Udaan’ and ‘Lootera’ famed Vikramaditya Motwane as director. Notably, rumors were already floating before about the possible collaboration for the biopic.
Producers Love Ranjan and Ankur Garg, who are producing this film under their Love Films banner, have hit a six by bringing together Ayushmann Khurrana and Vikramaditya Motwane. Both have established themselves as formidable forces with an incredible body of work throughout the years.A source familiar with the development told Peeping Moon
Those involved in the film are confident the collaboration between Khurrana and Motwane will create a cinematic masterpiece. Some reports also say MS Dhoni is slated to play a cameo in the film.

In 2019, pictures of Khurrana playing cricket with the members of the production team during the shoot of ‘Shub Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ in Sarnath also went viral. He also played cricket in Lucknow on the last day of the shoot of the Gulabo Sitabo film.
