Pakistan may had a horrible Thursday when Zimbabwe made Men in Green’s stay at the World Cup even more difficul. But Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has impressed the fans with his stunning one-handed catch at the slip to dismissed Regis Chakabwa on October 27 at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

Babar perfectly judged Chakabwa’s outside edge off Shadab Khan‘s over. The Pakistan skipper dived to his left and managed to grab a one-handed catch. Even he was stunned after taking that catch.

Pakistan and last overs are slowly becoming into a never-ending story. First the defeat was against India where Men in Green had to defend one run off the last ball of the innings which they failed. An in this match against the Zimbabwe, they had to score one run and again failed.

It was a very disappointing for the team as the viral shocked expression from Babar Azam will tell so. Shaheen Afridi was ran-out in the last over by a rocket throw by Sikandar Raza to give a monumental upset to one of the strong contenders of the World Cup 2022.

“Very disappointing performance by my team. We were not up to the mark in the batting. We had a bad first six overs, but Shadab and Shan built a partnership but unfortunately Shadab out and then back to back wickets and pressure built on the batting,” Babar Azam said at the post match presentation.

“First six overs we are not using the new ball good. Later on we finished well. We’ll sit together and learn from our mistakes and come back strong next match,” he added.

Zimbabwe posted 130/8 which Pakistan failed to score. Apart from Shan Masood’s 44 runs off 38 balls, other batters just couldn’t make use of their bats. Raza was the star bowler for Zimbabwe with his three crucial sclaps.
