The International Cricket Council (ICC) just announced on Wednesday that there has been a change in the schedule of the 2023 ODI World Cup. The schedule was first announced in the last week of June, and after over one-and-a-half months, there have been nine changes to the original schedule. These changes include the most awaited game of the tournament, India vs Pakistan.
Many fans have been frustrated by the time taken by the International Cricket Council and Board of Control for Cricket in India to release the schedule of the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup. In comparison to the 2019 CW where they had announced the schedule well over a year in 2018 before the tournament started, ICC delayed the 2023 World Cup schedule way too much.
Tickets haven’t gone on sale yet, and fans aren’t happy with this as the World Cup is barely 2 months away. Although ICC did announce today that the tickets will be up for sale from the 25th of August.

For the past few weeks, foreign fans have been unhappy with how the tournament has been organized. Last minute rescheduling, unavailability of any information about tickets, and the fact that they have to go and collect the physical tickets instead of E-Tickets being provided to the fans. This has caused a lot of inconvenience for the fans who already booked hotels, or in some extreme cases, hospital beds!
Check out how fans reacted to the revised schedule.
This delay in schedule and ticket sales has surely dented ICC’s reputation but more than the global body, it is the BCCI who is to be held accountable. Nevertheless, the final schedule is out and fans will want to lay hands on the tickets as and when they are up for grabs.
