According to various reports, Indian cricketer KL Rahul is set to exchange wedding vows with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty on January 23 in Khandala. But there has been no official confirmation as of yet from them. But The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that Rahul won’t be taking part in the series against New Zealand due to family duties.
Ahead of the much-awaited wedding, decorations for the wedding is underway. Popular paparazzi account Viral Bhayani recently shared a video of Rahul’s house being decorated with beautiful hanging lights.
“KRahul wedding preparation started at their home in Pali hiil in Bandra???? Though the security guard said there is another wedding on the 13th floor. So this is probaly not for their wedding but yes we are excited to be for their wedding from 20th. #klrahul #athiyashetty,” wrote Viral Bhayani on Instagram.

Their rumored wedding is going to be a three-day affair. The pre-wedding celebrations will be held in Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty’s home in Khandala as per the reports. It will start with a ladies’ night on January 21 as Athiya’s closest female friends like actor Akanksha Ranjan will attend this.
“It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying. However, popular Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, etc. along with star cricketers, the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and other are expected to attend the wedding.
Meanwhile, the couple met each other via their mutual friends and later developed a friendship between them.
