Ben Foakes is regarded as one of the best glove men in England, with his keeping skills highly rated. Struggling to enter the English side due to Jonny Bairstow’s efficiency with the bat, he finally got back in the Test team thanks to Harry Brook’s departure. He was now playing his first Test in 11 months.

On his return, he looked comfortable behind the stumps. He had kept his focus on the ball, but his focus also caused one of the funniest moments in the match. During Mark Wood’s 2nd over, he bowled the ball on Rohit Sharma’s pads, with the speed being 150 kmph.

The ball traveled to Ollie Pope, who was at deep square leg. He threw the ball back to the batting end, but it was quite inaccurate. Foakes made a run for the ball but failed to pay attention to his surroundings.

He crashed into the stumps and tripped, taking out all three stumps along the way. His teammates couldn’t hold back their laughter, while the keeper also found the entire ordeal funny.
