England’s Test skipper Ben Stokes recalled his days when he was suffering from hair loss. According to him, it was the appearance of a bald patch at the age of 27, that worried him a lot and it became unbearable. Stokes then decided to go for a hair transplant.
“I saw the footage of myself, and the angle would be a bird’s eye view, straight on top. I thought, ‘God, this is getting worse and worse,” he said during an interview with The Telegraph. He added that he felt lucky to be tall which can help people not notice his bald patch but as his bald patch increased, it became an agonizing experience for him.
Stokes then underwent a hair transplant which lessened his worries and gave him confidence. “So I went in, and as soon as I started seeing the results, it gave me so much more confidence,” he added. Stokes underwent follicular unit extraction in London.
He further explained how hair transplant used to be a secret but now it’s gone. The 32-year-old joined the likes of Shane Warne, and Graham Gooch to undergo the hair transplant procedure.
Aakash Chopra picks Ravindra Jadeja ahead of Ben Stokes as best all-rounder in Tests
Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra picked star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja over Ben Stokes as the best all-rounder in Test cricket. Chopra pointed out that Jadeja’s ability to score runs as well as pick wickets makes him much better than Stokes who finds it difficult to bowl due to his knee injury.

Stokes will undergo knee surgery after the completion of the 2023 ODI World Cup. He will be a part of the squad that will fly to India for the prestigious tournament. The 2019 World Cup champion reversed his decision to retire from ODIs for the World Cup after retiring from the format last year due to a tight international schedule.
