English Test skipper Ben Stokes claims teammate has a ‘little man CRUSH’ on Indian youngster Dhruv Jurel
Ever since his debut for India, Dhruv Jurel has impressed with both bat and glove.

Dhruv Jurel had one of the best performances of the series during the Ranchi Test, winning Player of the Match. In the first innings he scored a magnificent 90 after the middle order collapsed, mostly batting with the tail. In the 2nd innings, he scored an unbeaten 39* to win India the match.
After the match, Ben Stokes praised the youngster for his impressive performance, with both bat and ball. He further revealed that his teammate, Ben Foakes, had taken a liking for him as well.

Jurel became the first Indian keeper to win a Player of the Match award in his debut series. Since his debut, Jurel has played three innings, scoring 175 runs with an average of 87.5.

Before playing his first Test match, Dhruv Jurel had played only 12 first class matches for Uttar Pradesh. He also had three appearances for India A and had impressed with two fifties in three innings. With only 15 first class matches played, Jurel was given a Test debut and proved his spot with great performances with bat and gloves.
After a match winning performance in Ranchi, Jurel went on X to thank Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma for giving him his debut. He posted photos of him with the duo and wrote “Thank you Rohit bhaiya, Rahul sir for believing in this boy”.
India have won the series 3-1, with a Test remaining. The Test will be played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. There is a 10-day break between the 4th and 5th Test. The visitors will aim for a consolation win to end the series.
