England skipper Ben Stokes‘ pre-match press conference before the fifth Ashes Test saw a hilarious moment involving spearhead Mark Wood on Wednesday (July 27). Stokes was waiting for questions from reporters when suddenly ‘Barbie Girl’ started playing from somewhere.

Stokes, confused, looked up, only to find prankster Wood smiling from ear to ear before disappearing from the scene. He was the only one who played that song on his phone.

And now, needless to say, this did not take seconds to go viral and made fans go ROFL (Rolling on the floor laughing). As it’s always the case, such things become news.

The film Barbie and Oppenheimer directed by Greta Gerwig and Christopher Nolan, respectively, have become an internet phenomenon. Due to this Stokes, on his Instagram Story shared Wood’s picture who was sitting in front of the TV screen where Sky News showed a picture featuring Stokes as Barbie on the pink part of the picture and Aussie skipper Pat Cummins on the dark side of the picture as Oppenheimer. Sharing Wood’s picture, Stokes hilariously wrote: “You did this“.

The final Test of the Ashes series started, on Thursday (July 27) at The Oval, London. For the first time in the series, Ben Stokes lost the toss.

After winning the toss, Aussie skipper Pat Cummins chose to bowl first. And though England have already started showing their intent to score as many runs on the first day, they have also lost three wickets. At the time of writing this article, England have reached 138/3 in 28 overs with Harry Brook and Moeen Ali at the crease.
