The Indian Premier League is known for bringing out the best players under the limelight. The platform grooms the young talents and prepare them to get selected for the national team. Uncapped and experiences uncapped get the chance to represent the country based on the performance they put and this year was no exception.
As T20 World Cup will happen later this year, IPL has given the selectors with enough options to select the best players from all the departments. Below is the list of the best uncapped playing XI, youngsters and experienced, who impressed the cricket fraternity.

Best Uncapped Playing XI
1. Rahul Tripathi
Representing Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, the 31-year-old had scored 413 runs in 14 matches with a strike rate of 158.23. 76 off 44 balls was his best score, which also helped the team to get a much-needed win after five losses.
2. Abhishek Sharma
This southpaw started with 19-ball 9 runs, his best knock of 75 off 50, which came against Chennai Super Kings helped the team get the momentum. After that, this player kept playing terrific knocks to give a great start to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings. He ended this season with 426 runs in 14 matches.
3. Rajat Patidar
This Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman didn’t get enough chances in the beginning but when he got replaced for an injured Luvnith Sisodia, the Indore-born player accelerated the run rate as the season progressed. His best was an unbeaten 112 off just 54 balls in the Eliminator against Lucknow Supergiants. In Qualifier 2 also, he scored 58 off 42 balls. So, in eight innings, he scored a total of 333 runs.
4. Dewald Brevis
After his impressive performance in the U19 World Cup for South Africa, this young batsman came with a reputation of a huge hitter and didn’t dissapoint. He even scored 28 runs in a single over off Rahul Chahar which was followed by 31 off 13 balls against Lucknow Super Giants. In seven matches, he scored 161 runs with a strike rate of 142.48.
5. Tilak Varma
Whenever MI top-order failed to put runs, he steered the team with his composure. He garnered 397 runs in 14 matches and is also the second highest for MI.
6. Rinku Singh
This youngster will be remembered for his catches and notable contribution. He started with an unbeaten 42 against the Royals which helped the team win the match and stay alive in the tournament. In Kolkata Knight Riders’ last match, he impressed everyone with his 40 off 15 balls, even though the team ended up losing the game in a thriller. KKR also had given a hint of availing Rinku Singh’s services in the next year.
7. Jitesh Sharma (WC)
Jitesh Sharma was picked as a replacement for out-of-form Shahrukh Khan in the middle order and he didn’t dissapoint the Punjab Kings. The management showed confidence in his six-hitting abilities in the death overs, which also helped the team add runs in the final overs and to get wins as well. He finished the season with 234 runs at a strike rate of 163.64.
8. Mukesh Chaudhary
This Chennai Super Kings player was a replacement for key bowler Deepak Chahar, who didn’t play this season after sustaining an injury. He started his game with so good records to his name but the captain MS Dhoni had shown faith in him and he finished with figures of 3/19 against Mumbai Indians and helped the team win the game against their arch-rivals. His best performance was when he picked up four wickets against SRH. He scalped 16 wickets at an economy of 9.32.
9. Mohsin Khan
The new face of the season, Lucknow Supergiants signed this player after an injury issue to Avesh Khan. Although he started with 0/18 in his first game, the second saw the firgures of 3/24 against the Punjab Kings. His best came against the Delhi Capitals where he scalped four wickets and conceded only 16 runs in four overs. He picked up 14 wickets in nine matches.
10. Umran Malik
The list is incomplete without mentioning this sensational pacer from Sunrisers Hyderabad. He received the Emerging Player of the season award. Although, he had conceded a lot of runs, that didn’t stop the young talent to scalp wickets. He was breathing fire throughout the tournament and was gradually becoming the matchwinner for the team. His best was when he scalped 5 wickets by giving 25 runs against the Gujarat Titans. He earned a national call for the South Africa T20 series as well. He picked up 22 wickts in 14 matches at an economy of 9.03.
11. Arshdeep Singh
He was one of the only two retained players by Punjab Kings this year. He will be remembered for his toe-crushing yorkers in death overs. In 14 matches, he had scalped 10 wickets at an economy of 7.70 with the best figures of 3/37. He also received a call to represent India for the upcoming South Africa T20I series.
