Former India U19 cricketer Dwaraka Ravi Teja recently took to his social media and shared a couple of pictures with Virat Kohli and revealed an unknown and interesting story about the former India captain.

The two met each other after six long years and Teja penned down this: “Met him after 6 long years after IPL in UK and the first thing he tells me is Chiru Kaisa hain tu? (Chiru, how are you?)

Throwback to U-15 days when we were roommates and I used to watch Chiranjeevi‘s songs on TV and he used to dance to them and from then on we never called each other by our names and Chiru was the nickname we gave each other and whenever we met post that we always called each other Chiru.”

“Go back to domestic cricket, return to form and then we’ll see if you fit”- Legendary wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani

Virat Kohli has sustained a mild groin injury that ruled him out of the series opener. But the view here is that Kohli can regain his run-scoring form because there won’t be any pressure and he can take time in the ODIs. Even though India captain Rohit Sharma has supported Kohli, the team management is likely aware of not including out-of-form batter when in-form batsmen are available.

Former India wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani thinks that Kohli should play domestic cricket to get back in form. He also said that there could be no reason why selectors couldn’t have a “difficult talk” with Kohli.

“Obviously, there is so much of competition in this current era. If you are not performing in a few innings, irrespective of however experienced you might be, the selection committee takes a call and says, ‘That’s it.

Go back to domestic cricket, come back to form and then we will see if we can fit you back into the Indian team’. Don’t see why that can’t apply to Virat Kohli,” Kirmani told India Today
