Team India have reached the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup- their first final in over a decade. Rohit Sharma and Co. will square off against Pat Cummins-led Australia on Sunday (November 19) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Now, as per reports, PM Narendra Modi is set to grace the final clash.
Apart from PM Modi, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chair Zaka Ashraf is expected to attend the final also. Sachin Tendulkar and Rajnikanth (who received a Golden Ticket), may also watch the match. Shah Rukh Khan, who usually doesn’t miss such events, may also come to watch, and it won’t be surprising to see several other Bollywood celebrities.
The families of the cricketers will also be watching the match. Former India captain MS Dhoni, under whom India last lifted the World Cup in 2011, is likely to attend the event as well.
There are also speculations of Albanian pop sensation Dua Lipa performing at the closing ceremony, but it’s not confirmed yet. Star Sports released a video on X featuring the singer who answered some questions asked by Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Kane Williamson, and Daryl Mitchell before India’s semifinal clash against the Kiwis. There she answered what she would like to perform in the closing ceremony, hence the rumor.
