Glenn Maxwell‘s wife Vini Raman slammed the trolls for abusing her for supporting Australia after their sixth World Cup victory. Australia defeated India by six wickets after reaching the 241-run target on Sunday (November 19) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After Australia’s win, Raman posted a couple of pictures on her Instagram account, celebrating the victory of the Men in Yellow. In the last slide, however, she hit back at trolls who criticized her for supporting Australia.

Can't believe this needs to be said, BUT you can be Indian and also support the country of your birth where you have been raised and, more importantly, the team your husband+ father of yours plays in #nobrainer.
Raman said on Instagram.

She added:

Take a chill pill and direct the outrage towards more important world issues.

Glenn Maxwell’s ODI World Cup campaign

Glenn Maxwell had a terrific World Cup campaign, for two times he stunned the cricket world with his monster innings. Against the Netherlands, he scored the fastest World Cup century, off just 40 balls.

Then, after playing a 41-run knock against New Zealand, he played probably the greatest innings in World Cup history. Australia were down at 91/7 against Afghanistan when Maxwell singlehandedly guided the team to victory with his breathtaking 201*.

He also hit the winning runs in the final. After Travis Head got dismissed following his match-winning century, the Aussies needed two runs to win, which came from Maxwell’s bat.
