The match between Pakistan and New Zealand in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup was record breaking in many ways. Rachin Ravindra became the youngest batter to score 3 World Cup centuries, 46 boundaries were hit by the Kiwis, Shaheen Afridi bowled the most expensive spell by a Pakistani and Haris Rauf was hit for the most sixes in the World Cup.
Rauf has been hit for 16 sixes in the 8 matches he has bowled in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Although he has picked up 13 wickets, he has been dealt with ease by most batters. In the 414 balls he has bowled, he has been hit for 469 runs. Along with the 16 maximums, he has conceded 43 boundaries and has an economy rate of 6.79.

In the match against New Zealand, he had conceded 85 runs, which was the highest a Pakistani bowler has given in a 10 over spell. The record previously belonged to Hasan Ali, who was hit for 84 runs against India in the 2019 World Cup. Just 15 minutes later, Shaheen Afridi broke Haris’s record by conceding 90 runs.
Fans tear apart Haris Rauf after having a record he does not want
The record for most sixes conceded belonged to Tinashe Panyangara, who represented Zimbabwe. In the 2015 World Cup, he was hit for 15 sixes in 6 matches. But the record now belongs to the Pakistani speedster, Haris Rauf.

Fans started trolling him as he broke the record. Many called out fans who claimed Haris Rauf was better than Indian pacers as they didn’t bowl express pace. Others said Rauf has been having a downfall ever since Virat Kohli hit him for two sixes in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.
