Before the start of the 2023 ODI World Cup, everyone expected Pakistani speedster Haris Rauf to wreak havoc with his raw pace. But as the tournament progressed, Rauf had to face criticism from all corners, given that he proved ineffective on occasions when Pakistan needed it the most, even compounding the team’s misery by conceding a lot of runs.

Rauf has now conceded 500-plus (527) runs in this edition of the World Cup after featuring in nine matches for the side, the most by a bowler in a single edition of the World Cup. Currently, Pakistan are locking horns with England in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Saturday (November 11), where he achieved that unwanted feat.

In the match, Rauf bowled 10 overs and conceded 64 runs. He also dismissed Jonny Bairstow, who scored 59 runs from 61 balls, Jos Buttler, and Harry Brook.
