Afghanistan are set to face Australia on Tuesday (November 7) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Ahead of the match, Afghanistan paceman Naveen-ul-Haq slammed Cricket Australia (CA).
Naveen asked CA whether they would still call off the match against Afghanistan, given that the five-time champions canceled their three-match ODI series against the Asian country due to their restriction on women’s and girls’ employment and education. Naveen, in retaliation, pulled out of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Refusing to play the bilateral series, now it will be interesting to see Australia standing in the World Cup #standrads #humanrights or 2 points.Naveen wrote on Instagram Story.

Following extensive consultation with relevant stakeholders, including the Australian government, Cricket Australia has decided that it is unable to proceed at this time with the upcoming ICC Super League three-match men's ODI series between Australia and Afghanistan scheduled for the UAE in March 2023.The CAA said in a statement.
Naveen ul-Haq’s performance in the World Cup so far

He last played against Sri Lanka, where he went wicketless after conceding 47 runs. In his debut World Cup match against Bangladesh, Naveen bagged one wicket and conceded 31 runs.
Naveen’s Instagram Story has now created a buzz among fans and they are now waiting to see how Naveen performs against Pat Cummins and company. Australia, after the win over England, received 12 points and if they lose to Afghanistan, the Asian team would have the chance to qualify for the semi-finals.
