India and Australia went into the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup as favorites and have lived up to their expectations as they face each other in the finals. In what will be the biggest match of the year, the Aussies will aim for their 6th World Cup title, while India will battle for their 3rd in front of their own crowd. In their last match against each other, India beat the Aussies by 6 wickets.
India have not lost a single game in the World Cup so far. They’ve played 10 matches and have won 10 with ease, dominating each opponent. They beat New Zealand in their semi-final clash by 70 runs to get to the finals. With all departments in the Indian team firing, India are termed as the favorites coming into the finals and will have an advantage of playing at home as well.

Australia had a rocky start to the tournament, losing their first two matches to India and South Africa. Since then, they have not lost a single game, winning all 8. Despite dealing with injuries, Mitchell Marsh’s personal leave and Smith getting vertigo, the Aussies have held their nerves and shown why they are one of the most successful teams in the world. In a low scoring thriller, they knocked out South Africa in the 2nd semi-final.
