Throughout the World Cup till now, one keeps hearing bizarre conspiracy theories from former Pakistani cricketers. Some said India are cheating by bowling with a different ball, and that India changed the pitch for the semifinals in order to have an unfair advantage. The newest theory is that India captain Rohit Sharma has been fixing the match right at the toss.

India secured a thumping win over New Zealand by 70 runs to save themselves a berth in the finals on Wednesday (November 15) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India batted first after winning the toss. Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Mohammed Shami wreaked havoc as India posted a massive total of 397/4 on the scoreboard and later bundled out the Kiwis for 327 runs.

After the match, former Pakistan player Sikander Bakht said Rohit threw the coin far away from the opposition captain so that the latter could not see the coin. Bakht implied that Rohit had been having some unfair advantage by fixing the match at the toss.

Can I give you a conspiracy theory? At the time of the toss, Rohit Sharma throws the coin far from the range of any opposition captain. Thus, the opposition captain cannot go and cross-check the call.
Bakht said on Geo News.

In a post on X, he shared a video of how Rohit tossed the coin far away from other captains. Here is what he wrote:

Very strange the way Rohit Sharma throws the coin at the toss, far away. Doesn't let other Captains see, compare them to other Captains in the WC, any reason?
