It was a day for the Englishmen. Jonny Bairstow slammed the second fastest and his personal fastest fifty in the ongoing IPL. With an explosive opening, in the middle overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced the Liam Livingstone scare. He also smashed his half-century to take Punjab Kings to a massive total of 209/9 in 20 overs on Friday, May 13 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Talking about the match, RCB had won the toss and opted to bowl first. Be it any team, Bairstow must love hitting against the Royal Challengers. In just 21 balls, he scored his 50 with 7 sixes in the powerplay.

Liam Livingstone scare
But in the tenth over, Shahbaz Ahmed bowled a full and around off. Jonny Bairstow advanced down the track for a big hit but only managed to cut it from the outer edge to backward point. Two fielders started to catch it when Mohammed Siraj then took it finally.
Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal scored 21 and 19 each, and then came the dangerous Liam Livingstone. With 4 sixes and 5 fours, the Englishman smashed 70 in 42 balls. He scored his fourth fifty in this IPL seasonm (51 runs from 35 balls).
However, in the penultimate over, Harshal Patel bowled a full toss on the middle and Livingstone tried to spoon it behind wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik but failed to get the right connection. Karthik ran back to take a catch and dismissed the big fish.
