David Warner’s baggy green had gone missing just days before his farewell Test in the Sydney Cricket Ground. A day before his final Test, he uploaded a video pleading for his cap to return, due to the sentimental value associated with it. He was given a replacement cap for his final Test, but his original baggy green has now been located.
A Cricket Australia spokesperson revealed they found his missing cap in the Team hotel itself, but were unsure how it ended up there. Warner uploaded a post on his Instagram, thanking everyone for their efforts in finding his baggy green.
Hi everyone! I’m pleased and relieved that I've got my baggy back in my hands. Any cricketer knows how special their cap is and I will cherish this for the rest of my life.David Warner wrote on Instagram
Warner scored 34 off 68 in the first Australian innings. He was at 20 runs when Aamer Jamal made him edge the ball to Saim Ayub at first slip, but he dropped. The debutant was fielding there in place of Agha Salman, who had gone for a washroom break. This was the 4th drop by a fielder placed at 1st slip.
