Virat Kohli has many times admitted that he was a vegetarian, leaving a non-vegetarian diet in 2018. He did not follow a vegan lifestyle though, and consumed dairy products. Recently the star came into controversy when a fan claimed he had eaten beef, but it was debunked. Now he has once again come under fire due to one of his Instagram stories.
In a recent story, he posted a photo of a dish on his Instagram story that looked like chicken and captioned it with, “You’ve really nailed this mock chicken tikka.” This left many fans confused as everyone believed he stopped eating meat. But the account he tagged on his story solved the entire mystery.
He tagged Blue Tribe, a company that sold plant-based meat alternatives. They have various products like plant based chicken nuggets and plant based chicken patty. Kohli had tried their plant based chicken tikka and simply praised the dish.
