It brings people together and they share the same passion when the game is being played. Fans support the players in tough situations.

We have seen, over the years, devoted fans of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, and many more. Suresh Raina was also lucky to have had a devoted fan base in India. While he was playing for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, he had gained a lot of popularity among the fans. Chennai became Raina’s second home.

One of Raina’s fans was Vignesh who always used to come to CSK’s matches to support him. But unfortunately, he passed away today.

“Our dear friend ‘Superfan Vignesh’ had passed away after a short battle with an illness over the last few months and decided to rest now. He felt an impression we will not forget with his support for Raina, CSK & TeamIndia.

Will miss you at the grounds. Dear Vignesh. #RIP,” wrote a fanpage on Twitter.

Reacting to which, Raina retweeted on Twitter: “This is such a shocking news. So disheartened to hear about Vignesh’s demise. He was a wonderful human being & forever a super fan. May you rest in peace Vignesh. My deepest condolences to the family.”

Vignesh was always seen at the stands during CSK’s matches. He used to paint his whole body in yellow colour. He has been suffering from an illness for the last few months and lost the fight after a long battle.

Suresh Raina had been an integral part of the Yellow team. He spent majority of IPL career with CSK and helped them lift four IPL trophies. But in IPL 2022, to the shock of many fans, Raina went unsold in the auction.
