Brad Hogg on no-ball
Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg was schooled by Twitterati when the former opined a review should have been taken from the Pakistan’s side. He also questioned why the ball bowled on the free-hit wasn’t given a dead ball.
The last three balls of the final over wasn’t different from a suspense movie that keeps the watchers on the edge of their seats. After that controversial no-ball- which, according to many fans, was below the waist-line, Virat Kohli got bowled by Mohammad Nawaz.
Pakistani players including skipper Babar Azam were talking with the umpires. He must be asking for a “dead ball”, since Kohli was bowled on free hit. However, it wasn’t a dead ball according to the ICC rules and Kohli got three byes.
After the match, Hogg opined on Twitter that Pakistani should have taken a review. He also questioned why the ball wasn’t given a dead ball by the umpire.

One user then asked his opinion on a match between Australia and Pakistan in 2005/06. Shoaib Akhtar had bowled several no balls during Australia A’s macth against Pakistan. It was a T20I against at the Adelaide Oval.
Akhtar had bowled a no-ball on the first ball of the match and the openers James Hopes and Brad Haddin ran a single. According to the rules of the shortest format, Australia got two runs for the no-ball.
As the next ball was a free hit, when Akhtar threw the ball, Haddin went behind the stumps and was bowled, and the batters then ran a bye. Back to the Hogg story, when a user tweeted his opinion on the match between Australia A and Pakistan, Hogg replied: “Glad to say no“.
