“Easy, big fella!” Philip Salt reveals the conversation he had with RCB’s Mohammed Siraj during on-field spat

Delhi Capitals (DC) Philip Salt and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj had a heated exchange of words during an IPL 2023 match between the two teams on Saturday. As Salt was making a mockery of RCB’s bowling including Siraj, the RCB pacer got all riled up and was seen giving Salt a mouthful of words. The DC batter, meanwhile, seemed to just enjoy the banter as Salt wore a smile on his face.

Later, after DC’s six-wicket win over RCB, Salt was asked about the conversation between the two players by his teammate, Rilee Rossouw. The South African looked in a jovial mood as he asked Salt if the two were deciding about the venue for the dinner. “Were you and Siraj just organizing tomorrow night’s dinner?” Rossouw can be heard asking in the video shared by DC on their website.

Salt also actively participated in this little banter with Rossouw as he narrated the conversation by adding some spice to it.  “That’s exactly what he said. He said, ‘Where do you want go’ and I said, ‘Maybe Teppanyaki’. And then he fired up because he did not want to go Teppanyaki, he wanted to go to Bukhara. And I was like, ‘easy, big fella,” Salt hilariously quipped.

Delhi Capitals are still alive!

After a shabby start to the tournament with five defeats on the trot, David Warner-led Delhi Capitals are rising from the ashes and are expecting to make a turnaround in IPL 2023. They have won four of their last five games and sit idle at the bottom of the points table. However, the tournament is still wide open with all ten teams standing a chance to make it to the playoffs.

Although DC have only four games left in the league stage, winning all of them will only take them to sixteen points and they will be in contention to finish in the top four. DC have to play their remaining league matches against Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings (two against each).
