After the rescheduled fifth Test and the recently-concluded three-match T20I series between India and England, the two teams will lock-horns with each other in the first match of the three-match ODI series starting from July 12.

India had defeated the Three Lions in the T20I by 2-1. England avoided a whitewash when with the help of Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone, they set a huge target which India failed to reach. Only Suryakumar Yadav was the one to score some good runs by completing his maiden T20I century. At the end, India lost the match by 17 runs.

But that T20I series didn’t go well for England’s new captain Jos Buttler. His performance in the series also was poor as three times, he got dismissed cheaply. Eoin Morgan’s successor will be eyeing to record his first series win on home soil and also will try to get back to his form.

India will also see the return of Shikhar Dhawan and Mohammed Shami to the squad. Meanwhile, England would also be boosted by the return of Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, and Joe Root.
