Former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth has criticized Tamil Nadu head coach Sulakshan Kulkarni after the latter blamed the captain for Tamil Nadu’s Ranji Trophy semi-final defeat to captain Sai Kishore. In the semi-final, Mumbai defeated Tamil Nadu by an innings and 70 runs.
After the defeat, Kulkarni said the reason why his team lost was because of the decision taken by Kishore at the toss. Kulkarni said Tamil Nadu lost the match at “9 o’clock on Day 1” after Kishore chose to bat first. The coach felt his team should have bowled first because of the pitch they got for the match.

Please TNCA people, keep people like these away. If they give interviews like this, they should be let go. Sorry to use such words, but it is absolutely not fair. Why are people like these getting 85 Lakhs or 1 crore, just go to your home back in Bombay, because we know how to win medals without you, we know how to manage and we will manage. Dear TNCA, please do not recruit such coaches from outside.Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel
He recalled the time when he took the blame upon himself after India’s 0-4 loss to England following India’s 2011 World Cup triumph. Srikkanth was the chair of selectors back then.

The comments of coach Sulakshan Kulkarni did not go down well with Dinesh Karthik, who expressed his displeasure after hearing such remarks from a coach. On X, Karthik blasted Kulkarni for not backing his captain.
