Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan was left fuming after Pakistani fans started criticizing the U19 Indian players for their loss to Australia in the U19 ODI World Cup. On Sunday (February 13), Australia defeated India by 79 runs in the final in South Africa to become the champion.
It was India’s third consecutive loss to Australia in the ICC World Cup finals. Prior to this, Australia thumped Rohit Sharma and Co. in the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup final.
The defeat triggered mixed reactions from social media fans as many fans mocked India for being “chokers” in the final. Many Pakistan fans heavily criticized the players, which made Pathan come up with a befitting response for them.

Notably, Pathan faced the ire of the Pakistani fans when he added salt to their wounds by mocking them after Pakistan’s defeat to India in the 2022 T20 World Cup. This is the reason why Pakistani fans never stop taunting the former cricketer whenever India lose a match on Sunday.
Irfan Pathan says MS Dhoni will not retire after IPL 2024
MS Dhoni is 42 years old now and this Indian Premier League (IPL) is considered to be his last one. There will be continuous speculation about his retirement until Thala himself reveals his future plan, which he has not yet, even to the boss of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Irfan Pathan said Dhoni will “definitely” not retire after IPL 2024. Speaking at an event organized by Star Sports, Pathan said he met Dhoni, who is growing long hair, a month ago, adding that Dhoni looks fit despite being 42.
Pathan believes people will like to see Dhoni play, and that if he does retire after IPL 2024, he will still be associated with CSK and IPL.
