Cummins indeed enjoyed a great 2023, because he bagged all the prestigious titles that year. The first success came in the World Test Championships (WTC) Final where his team defeated India at Lord’s to become the first team to win all the ICC trophies.
Secondly, Australia retained the Ashes urn when the series ended in a draw in England. Then, to top it all off, Australia lifted the ODI World Cup by again beating Rohit Sharma and Company in the final in Ahmedabad.
And lastly, Cummins became the first player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to cross the Rs 20-crore mark when Sunriseres Hyderabad (SRH) bought him for Rs 20.75 crore in the 2024 IPL auction. Australia then won the Boxing Day Test match against Pakistan where Cummins bagged a 10-wicket haul and also won the Player of the Match award.
