During the 2nd Test between India and England, the fans of Vizag were loud and active throughout the match. The Barmy Army were loud as well, and they were thoroughly entertained in the game.
While the fans dressed in the team’s kits, wearing hats and sunglasses to block the sun, a fan was seen wearing a helmet. With the temperatures were a bit cooler just below 30°, the humidity did reach levels of 70%. It made no sense on why the fan wore a helmet, especially with the stuffy weather.
Fans were left confused as well, wondering why would the fan even wear the helmet. Some joked on how Sachin Tendulkar was the happiest wearing the helmet, while one said he was ‘Babu Bhaiya‘ from the popular film, ‘Hera Pheri‘. Other joked on how he wore a helmet for Joe Root’s drives.

India steamroll England to equalize the series
After losing the first Test, India needed to equalize the series by winning the Vizag Test, which they ultimately did. Electing to bat first, India scored a mammoth 396, thanks to a brilliant double ton by Yashasvi Jaiswal. The hosts bowled out the visitors for just 253, thanks to a brilliant spell using reverse-swing by Jasprit Bumrah.
India gave them a target of 399, with Shubman Gill scoring a much required century. India bowled out the visitors for just 292, winning the Test by 106 runs with Bumrah being awarded the Player of the Match. Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets, but missed out on his 500th Test wicket by just one dismissal.
The third Test will be played on 15th February, after a short break. It will be played in Rajkot, with the Indian team yet to announce their squad.
