The 2nd T20I between Australia and West Indies was filled with sixes and boundaries, as both teams crossed 200s in their innings. There were a combined 27 sixes and 38 boundaries in both innings, with a match aggregate of 241 runs.

During one of these 27 maximums, many managed to catch but in one instance, it was dropped. Disappointed, a fan picked up the ball and threw it back into the field, but missed completely. Instead, it smacked one of the ball boys sitting at the boundary lines on his head.

The match was an entertaining one, with boundaries galore. Australia, batting first, put up 241, with Glenn Maxwell scoring his 5th T20I century. He was supported by Mitchell Marsh and Tim David, who scored quickfire 29 and 31. Apart from Johnson Charles, Rovman Powell, Andre Russell and Jason Holder, most batters failed. Powell top scored with a fifty, but West Indies ended up losing by 34 runs.

Glenn Maxwell and the century that was not supposed to be

Going into the 2nd match, Glenn Maxwell felt like the match would have a centurion from either of the sides. Disappointed by his performance in the first match, he was going to be rested in the 2nd match. With family coming over, he had to convince the team management to let him play the 2nd T20I and it worked out as he scored 120* off 55.

Originally I was supposed to not be playing tonight, and I was going to be rested, I talked them into it. I wouldn't mind playing this one, my family is going to be here. So they changed their mind which was nice.

Coming in to bat at number four, Maxwell hit 12 boundaries and eight sixes, which got the score to 241. The all-rounder didn’t get to contribute with the ball, with Adam Zampa being used as a lone spinner.
