In the match between Pakistan and Netherlands, the boundary near cow corner was seen altered. It was visible that the boundary line had been pushed back, making the  boundary larger and that caused a controversy, with many fans blaming the Pakistani players for pushing it.

The extended boundary was noticed by fans when a Pakistani fielder was standing beyond the actual boundary line, with the boundary cushion being pushed back. Then it was unsure if the boundary was pushed back by a diving fielder or intentionally.
