After Sanju Samson was not picked in the 1st ODI against West Indies, fans questioned BCCI’s decision to drop him. However, after being given a chance in the 2nd ODI, fans are highly disappointed with how Samson failed to grab his opportunity.

Sanju Samson was dismissed for 9 off 19 deliveries in the first chance that he was given on the Windies tour. Virat Kohli and Skipper Rohit Sharma were rested for the 2nd ODI and India’s batting lineup crumpled with only Ishan Kishan scoring a fifty.

Sanju Samson is often regarded as ‘unlucky’ for not getting enough chances on the international level. But it cannot be denied that more often than not he has failed to grab onto that opportunity whenever he is presented with one. His outing in the 2nd ODI was an example of the same.

Clearly, Sanju Samson has failed to impress the management and the audience yet again. It will be interesting to see if he is given another go in the next match against the West Indies with the possibility of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli coming back into the side.
