MS Dhoni has been a captain for an IPL franchise in every season, barring 2017. He currently holds the record for the most IPL titles won as captain, with five. In 2021 he was replaced by Ravindra Jadeja as captain, but took over in the middle of the tournament as the team were performing poorly.
