Cricketer Shreyas Iyer featured in a new ad for Ramraj Cottons. The advertisement was for their undergarments. In the ad, Iyer was wearing a vest made by Ramraj Cottons and wore a jacket over it. 

While signing autographs, a female fan asks for his autograph but drops her book. So to get Iyer’s autograph, she tries to remove her shirt but Iyer stops her. He removes his jacket, signs it and gives it to her.

Shreyas Iyer has just returned from injury to play for the Indian team. After a bulged disc that affected a nerve, Iyer didn’t play cricket for over 5 months. He returned to international cricket against Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup. Despite having a great start, he lost his wicket after scoring 14 runs off 9 balls. The game was declared no result due to rain.

Iyer has starred in plenty of advertisements for CEAT tyres, Dream 11, Gillette, Fresca Juices, etc. Iyer found fame due to his batting and captaincy style. After great performances for Mumbai Cricket Team and Delhi Daredevils/Capitals, Iyer was selected in the Indian team. 

Thanks to him getting into the Indian team, Iyer has grown as a brand. He has turned into a fan favourite and is now a very important player for India in ODIs and Test cricket. He is also very active on social media, during the COVID-19 pandemic he used to frequently post videos of him dancing as everyone was on lockdown. 

After seeing the ad, fans were unhappy with it. They were shocked that Iyer would even agree to make such an advertisement and called it cringe.

Shreyas Iyer did not bat against Nepal in India’s 2nd match of the 2023 Asia Cup. India will now play against Pakistan on the 10th of September for the Super 4 match.
