“Cricketer with the worst attitude” – Fans slam Riyan Parag after player allegedly mocks TV umpire in RR’s game against LSG: IPL 2022

Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag was involved in a rather controversial incident in Rajasthan Royal’s win against Lucknow Super Giants last night. In the penultimate over of the game, Marcus Stoinis lofted the ball but couldn’t clear the boundary. Riyan Parag ran quickly from the outfield to catch the ball. While at first, it looked like the catch of the tournament, the TV umpire reversed the decision as the ball has just bounced before Parag caught it.
Parag, upset with the decision got another chance in the final over. Stoinis again tried to hit a six, but could only find Riyan Parag. The player made no mistakes this time and he had his man. However, the celebration that followed after raised some eyebrows. After completing the catch, he bent down touching the ball to the ground. Almost as if he was mocking the third umpire for reversing his decision in the earlier over. Fans and commentators were not happy with Parag’s reaction and they slammed him on social media.
