Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, ex-captain of the English Cricket Team, made his first public appearance in over 9 months on 8th September. Flintoff was a host in the British television show, Top Gear. While shooting for an episode in December 2022, he suffered a major accident and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
After over 9 months, Freddie Flintoff was finally in the public eye. He was with the England side and will be working as a consultant for their series against New Zealand. Flintoff was seen with facial injuries.
Speaking about Flintoff joining the team, Captain Jos Buttler said “It’s just great for him to be around, he’s obviously an England legend and it’s just nice to have him around the group. He’s not been brought in with any specific role, just to be around and observe. A few of the lads can pick his brains a little bit and he’s settled in really well. It’s great to have him with us. Just for this series.”
Andrew Flintoff’s accident in December 2022
In 2018 Flintoff had joined the British TV show, Top Gear as a presenter. He starred in 4 seasons, for 21 episodes. In February 2019, he crashed into a market stall while filming. A few months later, he was once again involved in another accident. He was riding a trike and crashed while being at the speed of 124 mph. He did not suffer any injuries but kept on being a host.
On December 22, while shooting in the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, he suffered a major accident after which he was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Apparently he was driving in icy conditions, which may have caused his accident. Although reports said his injuries were non-threatening, he was seen with plenty of facial injuries on 8th September.
