At the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on Wednesday (December 6, 2023), Gujarat Giants locked horns with India Capitals in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) Eliminator. During the second over of the Capitals, Gautam Gambhir smacked S Sreesanth for a six and a four. Following a dot ball, the two ex-teammates exchanged some heated words.
Gambhir scored 51 during the match with his team winning by 12 runs. After the match, in an explosive Instagram video, Sreesanth labeled Gambhir “Mr. Fighter” and accused him of fighting for no reason, that he had no respect for his seniors.

The 40-year-old also spoke about why Gambhir doesn’t speak about Virat Kohli. As the incident sparked controversy, Gambhir took to his X handle to share a cryptic post by sharing a photo of him smiling.

In an Instagram live video, Sreesanth revealed what Gambhir said to him during the match. He accused the former Indian opener of calling him a “fixer” during the fight due to the pacer’s alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal during the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL).
