Gautam Gambhir recently took to Instagram to post a picture of him on the corridor of his hotel, sitting down with a caption, “The beauty of doing nothing! #takeabreather.” Guatam Gambhir has been the mentor of the newly formed Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and has played a huge role in the team’s success this season, making it to 3rd in the points table in their debut season.
Lucknow Super Giants will play the Royal challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens stadium on 25th may in the first eliminator of IPL 2022. Lucknow had quite a long break between their last game of the season and eliminator, prompting Gambhir to post the photo after a nerve wrecking and tiring season of 70 matches. However, cricket stars were quick to have a laugh at Gambhir’s post.

Many of Gautam Gambhir’s former India teammates were quick to comment on Gambhir’s post. Yuvraj Singh commented, “Gauti room service ko bula tv aur ac on Karne ke liye” (Gauti call the room service to switch in the Tv and air conditioner). Former Mumbai Indians bowler, Munaf Patel commented, “Light off Karne ke liye” (To switch off the lights).
Gambhir’s former India teammate Harbhajan Singh commented, “You Deserve this day of doing nothing after many days.. good luck for the ?”. Further more, Suryakumar Yadav also commented saying, “Can’t wait for the 25th”. Suryakumar Yadav along with Mumbai Indians was the first team to get eliminated from the playoffs of IPL 2022. Surya also had his tournament cut short due to injury. Having played under Gautam Gambhir earlier at Kolkata Knight Riders, he would be tempted to support Gautam’s Lucknow Super Giants this time.
