In the match between Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans and KL Rahul-led Lucknow Supergiants, the former have set a target of 145 in their 20 overs on Wednesday, May 10 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Talking about the match, Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bat first but this decision didn’t really prove to be a good one as Lucknow’s bowlers were very economic. Almost every batsman was playing a very slow innings.

Gujarat Titans’ openers Wriddhiman Saha got dismissed for just 5 runs while facing 11 balls. Matthew Wade got dismissed for 10 off 7. Hardik Pandya really wasn’t happy after scoring 11 off 13 balls when Avesh Khan sent him back. David Miller scored 26 off 24 balls with a four and a six.

But it was another opener Shubman Gill who scored an unbeaten 63 runs from 49 balls by smashing seven fours. And he was supported by Rahul Tewatia who had smashed three fours and scored 22 runs in 16 balls.

Gujarat Titans’ Avesh Khan picked up two wickets while Mohsin Khan and Jason Holder picked up one wicket.

Both the teams, Lucknow Supergiants and Gujarat Titans are the new faces in this IPL season; are at the top of the points table with 8 wins in their 11 matches, with 16 points for each. It will be interesting to see who wins this match to go to the playoffs first.
