“Age is just a number”- Wriddhiman Saha’s fifty takes Gujarat Titans to easy win against CSK

With the help of Wriddhiman Saha’s half-century knock, Gujarat Titans easily won the match by 7 wickets against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, May 15 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
CSK had won the toss and opted to bat first. They had posted 133/5 in their 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored the most, with his 53 off 49 balls. Narayan Jagadeesan had scored 39 runs off 33 balls. CSK had saw a middle-order collapse and could score only 24 runs in the last five overs to post 133.
Gujarat Titans responded with openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill. Wriddhiman Saha’s unbeaten knock of 67 from 57 balls with eight fours and a six with a strike rate of 117.54 helped Gujarat reach the total easily.

Overall Gujarat lost three wickets. Shubman Gill walked back after scoring 18 off 17 balls by Matheesha Pathirana’s lbw. Matthew Wade scored 20 runs in 15 balls with 2 fours. In the 11.2 overs, tossed up delivery on the middle made Wade dance down the track and he looked to go big over long on. But he got the bottom of his blade and didn’t get the desired distance. The ball went in the air and straight to Dube at long on. Hardik Pandya could score only 7 runs in 6 balls. David Miller then played an unbeaten knock of 15 runs in 20 balls.
With five balls to spare, the table toppers completed the target and won the match by 7 wickets.
