England batter Harry Brook drew flak for his controversial remark about England’s performance in the Ashes. While talking about England’s possible victory in the fourth Ashes Test, Brook said that the team is looking at the bigger picture even though Australia have retained the Urn.

Brook claimed that the team is happy about the fact that they are able to draw a bigger crowd and entertain them through their aggressive brand of cricket. The young English batter went on to say that the hosts are not focused on winning but on entertaining the crowd.

“We’re not focused on winning as a side, we’re focused on making people enjoy watching and bringing Test cricket alive again,” Brook said on Tuesday to the reporters (via Fox Cricket). “I think we’ve done a decent job of that in the last 12 months and it’s been exciting to watch. It’s definitely been exciting to play in.”
