Kolkata Knight Riders’ head coach Brendon McCullum did his last interview as the KKR Head coach last night as his time in the IPL came to an end. In the interview, McCullum spoke about Rinku Singh who almost got KKR the victory last night with his blazing 15 ball 40.

Speaking about the 24 year old, he said, “Rinku is a player whom KKR will invest in over the next few years and we’ll see him progress. Maybe he’ll even challenge for higher honours in time as well because not too many people and pull games out of the fire like he has almost done for us on a couple of occasions.” Brendon McCullum had heaps of praise for Rinku Singh. Saying that Rinku Singh plays the game for all the right reasons and that not many can bat in the middle order like he does.

McCullum’s biggest achievement would be when he helped the team reach the finals of IPL 2021 last year. Speaking about his time to IPLT20, he said, “I have loved my time in the IPL. It has been three years now and all those years have been in the bubble. I am incredibly thankful to all the parties involved in hosting the competition and also the fans who have really gotten behind. It’s a wonderful tournament and is the biggest league in the world.”

McCullum ended his interview talking about the IPL, calling it the biggest league in the world and that he would definitely continue to follow it in the future. McCullum has taken up the job of head coach of England’s test team.
