“He is my favourite player”- Sanath Jayasuriya chooses between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam

Former Sri Lankan player Sanath Jayasuriya chose his favourite cricketer between the top batters in the world at the moment- Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.

Many think Kohli is the greatest player right now, Azam has also made the cricket fraternity believe with his consistent performance that he can break Kohli’s record in the future.

In an exclusive interveiw with Sportskeeda on Friday, Jayasuriya was asked who is his favourite Asian batsmen. He replied with:

“I like Virat Kohli. He is my favorite player and also my son’s favorite player too.”

He was also asked to choose his favourite format, to this, he replied that ODI and Tests are his favourite format. Between batting and bowling, the Sri Lankan legend said he prefer to destroy the opposition bowlers rather than rolling his arm. He also picked up captaining over coaching.

Road Safety World Series have started on Sunday, September 10 and Sri Lanka Legends team will also start their campaign on September 11 at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur against Australia Legends. They are the runners-up in the inaugural season.
